Personal and intimate things about this person as well as common, everyday objects and furnishings from the person’s life are photographed in such a way that they are hardly or not at all recognisable at first glance. Tiny details become enormously significant because of the large-format printing.
The new angle reveals unknown perspectives in this person’s world. The depth of intimacy in the overall composition can only be sensed; it will remain completely hidden to many viewers who see it only as an abstract image.
